Grandsons

I gotta admit, I totally did not expect this session to go as smoothly as it did.  Five kids, huge age range, rainy day leading up to it…  but it all came together.  Each boy – from 2.5 months to 14 years – was AWESOME!  And their grandparents’ backyard was just incredible.  The Butchart Gardens of St. Albert – no lie.  It was truly a pleasure to hang out with these people and capture photos of their wonderful grandkids.  Here’s a sneak peek for them.  Have a great weekend!

The L Family

I met the very cool “L” family yesterday.  They are good friends of good friends…. always fun since you feel like you know them in some way already.  They welcomed their third child a few months ago and WOW – three amazingly cute kids in a row!  Sweet.  Here’s a bit of a sneak peek for them…

Carson & Clayton

“Downtown” St. Albert on a Sunday evening.  Hardly anyone else around (unless you’re on one of the nearby bike paths – then you’d better watch out).  It was a great spot for a photo session with our cousins!  Well, my husband’s cousin’s family, to be more exact.  It’s been almost a year since I took photos of Carson & Clayton after asking their mom if I could use them for “practice”.  She not only agreed, but she sent LOTS of families my way almost immediately afterwards!  I went from 0 to 60 last September – and I’m still trying to catch my breath!  I’m so grateful for all of it.  I look back at the photos from last year and I can see how much I’ve improved and how my style has changed.  And next year, and the year after that I’ll be saying the same thing.  Photography is like that – you’re never done learning and your style and skills are constantly evolving.  It’s wonderfully challenging.  I can’t wait to see what “year 2″ will bring.

Thanks for all the support, cousins!!

p.s. to all my family seeing these pics – don’t show Aunty Ev!  Her birthday’s coming… :)
