Baby Hudson

I am always so honored to be invited into peoples’ homes to photograph their newborn.  That’s one of the best parts about my “job” (I really don’t like to call it a job though – I love it too much).  It is just plain wonderful to see parents with a new baby.  Hudson’s mom & dad are awesome people – I had a great time with them yesterday.  And his mom is gorgeous.  Less than two weeks after having her second baby and my goodness, you would never know she was ever pregnant.  So not fair.

The little guy wasn’t quite in the mood for sleeping, so we waited it out.  He fell asleep eventually, as newborns always will.  Congratulations, guys.  Hudson is beautiful.

One of my new favorites…

Baby Rieley

Just 9 days old.  I love fresh little babies, and Rieley certainly was no exception.  So little, so sweet, so cuddly.  And born a week late (his mom was relieved that he arrived before Christmas). Exhausted from the craziness of the last 10 days, mom & dad now have a beautiful little boy with the absolute cutest chin dimple ever!   Congratulations, he’s wonderful.

Sophie & Jett

Okay, here’s another “small world moment”.  They seem to be happening to me all the time lately!  My clients come to me almost exclusively through word of mouth, and I love it.  One great family turns into another one, creating a new circle of clients who are some way connected to the the last.  When I got an email from Sophie and Jett’s mom, I recognized her name.  A friend of my sister’s… awesome!  But they haven’t been in touch for years.  Hmm, guess that wasn’t how she heard of me.  Instead it was through a friend of hers who was a client of mine from earlier this year.  Never would have guessed!  And voila – “small world moment”.

Sophie & Jett are only a year apart (I am in awe of parents who pull this off).  How lucky are their mom & dad to score TWO such beautiful kids?  They must be amazed by how much their lives have changed in such a short time.   But from what I could tell yesterday, they are not overwhelmed!  Maybe some days they are (what parent isn’t), but they were so patient and happy.  They’ll rock it out, no problem.

Here’s a sneak peek for them…
